IMPORTANT:- Cancellation Policy and Missed Appointments

We do not currently charge in advance for any of our bike fitting services. Payment is made on the day of the fit. Cancellations should be made as soon as possible before the day of the fitting to allow us to re-book your slot with another client. Cancellation made less than 24 hours before the appointment time will be charged at 50% of the full fit price. Cancellations can be made using the online booking system or by contacting us. Missed fitting appointments without prior notice will be charged at full price. Sales consultation appointments are a complimentary service offered to clients considering the purchase of any bike from Bike Science. However we still need to pay a member of staff for your session even if you miss your appointment. Sales consultation appointments that are missed without prior notice will be charged at £10. By making a booking you are agreeing to these terms.

Returns Policy - Product Purchases

In all cases, please CONTACT US first before returning any item. You have 28 days from the date of receipt to return an item to us. Returned items must be received by us in a condition equal to that which they were received by the you, customer. If an item is found to be at fault or not as described on the Bike Science website we will offer a full refund or exhange to equal or higher value. We will also cover the cost of shipping the item back to us. We may have a more cost effective shipping method available than you, so please CONTACT US before shipping any item back to us. Please make reference to your order number each time you get in touch.

Terms of Service

When you place an order via the Bike Science website (www.bike-science.com) we will treat that action as an offer to buy. For each order placed you will receive confirmation in the form of an email. Please ensure the email address you specify when signing up for your account is one you can be contacted on should there be any problem or query regarding your order (and check the email address is correct). Also please ensure that any phone number given is correct and that you can be contacted on that number during office hours. At the time of your order confirmation we enter into a contract with you. You can track the progress of your order at any time by following the "My Account" link and logging in using the account details you created at the time of placing the order.

Product Specifications and Suitability

Product details, specifications and suitability information published on the Bike Science website is the best available at the time. Bike Science shall not be held responsible for the accuracy of any advice given regarding the suitability (or otherwise) of any part/s required for the repair of an item. If you have ordered an item that has an unsuitable product description we will offer a full refund upon the return of the item. We encourage you to ensure all spare parts are fitted by a competent person in accordance with manufacturer instructions. Bike Science Ltd cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the fitting of any spare part or component. Please ensure that you have read your warranty conditions before attempting to install a part or otherwise repair item. Bike Science cannot be held responsible if the item is damaged or your warranty is voided.

Warranty

All components supplied by Bike Science Ltd are subject to their standard manufacturers warranty. Please check the each manufacturers website for warranty conditions.

Availability / Estimated Delivery Times

We do our best to ensure availability of all advertised products and endeavour to despatch all parts within 2 working days. If there is a delay we will inform you of this via email and the product will be despatched as soon as it is available. If you have ordered multiple items they may arrive separately. Bike Science has no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. We will do our best to get all orders sent out as quickly as possible. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time, just CONTACT US with your order number. Occasionally we find ourselves having to withdraw an item because it has become obsolete or has been discontinued. If you have placed an order for an item that has been made obsolete we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative if one is available.

Payment

Payment over the Internet can be made via our secure check out pages using Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro or Solo cards. Card charges will appear on your statement as "Bike Science Ltd". All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at UK rates (Bike Science Ltd is a VAT registered company in the UK). Due to the nature of the clearing system your credit card payment will be taken at the point of order. If a problem in supply should occur, your payment will be refunded as swiftly as possible. The refund may take up to 5 working days to show as cleared funds on your account, depending on payment provider. If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be required to pay import duties and taxes when your order reaches your country. These and any additional charges for customs clearance are your responsibility.

Delivery

Smaller low value UK orders will be delivered using Royal Mail. Larger, more expensive or fragile products will be shipped via TNT. International orders will be despatched via TNT.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled at any time before they are despatched. Follow the "My Account" link on our website and follow the steps for a full refund. If the item has already been despatched then please CONTACT US about a return.

Liability

We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims. We will do our best to get all orders despatched as quickly as possible. We have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered. You have the right to cancel delayed orders at any time and get a refund prior to the item being despatched. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Privacy

We will never sell or pass on your name and address to any other organisation without your consent. Your details are confidential and you will never receive unsolicited mail as a result of ordering from Bike Science. Bike Science maintains a strict privacy policy in full accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This includes any information gathered during the bike fitting, sports massage or any coaching services. We expect you to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password for your Bike Science account. Bike Science Ltd are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly to provide you with the best service possible. We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

Your Consent

By submitting information to Bike Science you consent to the collection and use of this information by Bike Science. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Data Security

We safeguard your private information by implementing the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedure necessary to protect your privacy. To further protect your security, we also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your personal profile or making data changes. We are committed to protecting your privacy and have security measures in place to prevent unauthorised access to and disclosure of your personal information.

Cookies are pieces of information left in the settings of your web browser to identify your computer to a website when you return. Whenever a website welcomes you and tailors data to your specifications, it is reading a cookie left in your browser and identifying information you may have registered during previous visits, such as your viewing preferences.
